A constructivist approach to teaching scientific content to university students

The constructivist approach to acquiring new knowledge has very much been appreciated by foreign language practitioners for optimal learning. E-Model, developed Atkins & Karplus (1962) as a research-based implies that the learners construct on their own (Lynch, 2017). present paper then suggests implementation of instructional E-Model in teaching scientific content Master students through Self-Directed Approach. study is exploratory and experimental its scope aims at unleashing university students’ desire reflective model composed set stages: engagement, exploration, explanation, elaboration, evaluation. Participant observation was used tool obtain qualitative data. findings demonstrated effective great majority students, this reflected skills presenting manipulating information. In addition cognitive development, self-confidence self-esteem were enhanced.
